National African American Parent Involvement Day
Students don't forget to bring your parents to school on Monday February 8, 2010 to celebrate National African American Parent Involvement Day. We will have a special guest speaker Mr. Michael Williams, President/CEO of Orchards's Services discussing the importance of parents in the lives of children. Session run from 8-11 am, and repeat at 12-3 pm. Come join us for a catered lunch, prizes, giveways, and interaction with your child's class. H1N1 Flu Information
The DSLA in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia wants to keep your child safe this flu season. Our web site is linked with the CDC's to provide up to date information as well how to protect yourself and your family. We also will share our preparation and plans here.
What's for Lunch and Breakfast?
You can check out what we are having for breakfast and lunch by clicking on the Breakfast/Lunch Menu link at the bottom of this page. You can also join our "Breakfast Club". Breakfast is served daily beginning at 6:45 a.m. Your free and reduced application can be used for breakfast as well. The cost for a full breakfast is $1.75, and the reduced cost is .30.
